To qualify for the Winter Games, athletes must be born between Jan 1, 2000 and Dec 31, 2006. Each district team will consist of 2 female pistol shooters, 2 male pistol shooters, 2 female rifle shooters, and 2 male rifle shooters.
The Games have officially started!
At 8:15pm, the games were officially started! The athletes had open practice time at the range on Sunday afternoon before attending the opening ceremonies. Below is a schedule of events.
There is live webcast of the events on the Saskatchewan Winter Games website, as well as live results from our Megalink targets, which can be found at results.megalink.no. The results are also posted on the Sask Winter Games website.
Team Competition – one male and one female compete as a team. They take turns shooting a specific number of shots in a certain time limit. The top teams compete in finals.
Rifle Super Finals – double knock out finals in a super high energy environment.
Individual Competition – male athletes shoot a 60 shot match, women shoot a 40 shot match. The top 8 from each move forward to finals.
Pistol Super Finals – double knock out finals in a super high energy environment.
